Hello, we are Oishii Kitchen, a Japanese cooking school.
We offer a 3-hour cooking class where you can learn easy and delicious Japanese home-style cuisine near Osaka Castle.

We welcome foreign tourists.
Classes are in simple English and Japanese.
Recipes are in English.

Sushi Rolls & Tempura

Learn how to make Japanese sushi rolls.
You can choose your favorite ingredients and make up to three sushi rolls.
(The photo is for one sushi roll.)
Additionally, you learn how to make tempura, seasonal vegetables with sesame paste, and miso soup.
※Vegan and vegetarian dietary adaptations are available.

Japanese Home Cooking

Japanese-style fried chicken, seasonal vegetables with sesame paste, Japanese omelet and miso soup.

Character Bento (Boxed Lunch)

Learn how to make Japanese character bento.
Make flowers with ham, octopus-shaped sausages, or add your favorite expression to a rice ball.
You make one bento for yourself.
Additionally, you learn how to make miso soup.

Making Miso

Experience making traditional Japanese miso.
After making miso, we make miso soup and rice balls, then taste our creations.
Each person can take home 1 kg of miso.

Japanese calligraphy

14:00~(approx. 2 hours)
“Shodo” is Japanese calligraphy.
“Sho” means to write and “Do” means discipline to enhance your spirit.
In this class, you experience writing hiragana, katakana, kanji, or any other other character you wish to write in calligraphy.
Some students write their favorite words, while others write their names.
After the class, green tea and Japanese sweets are served.
Please make a reservation by 5 p.m. the day before.

The class is for 2 to 5 people; Even if you participate alone, you will be charged the fee for two people.
※If there are other participants and we have not reached the capacity, you may attend for the price of one.

Terms of Service
Cancellation Policy
Due to small class sizes, no refunds will be made for cancellations after payment has been received and class participation has been confirmed.
Please note that the program can be rescheduled to another date if the schedule allows.
The class fee will be refunded if the instructor cannot attend class.
Notes

If you will be late or absent for more than 5 minutes, please inform us in advance. You cannot attend the class if you are more than 15 minutes late.

Please maintain security for your valuables. Please understand that we cannot be held responsible for accidents or problems like loss or theft.

If you are attending with children, please do not leave your children unattended, especially when handling knives or fire.

Please be careful to avoid injury or burns during the class. We are not responsible for any damage caused by injuries or accidents that occur in the cooking class, except in cases of negligence on our part.

We do not provide food allergy measures, such as alternative ingredients or using different utensils. If you have allergies, please attend at your own risk.

Please do not take home food for hygienic reasons.

Please do not bring food or alcohol to the class.

Please wear an apron in the classroom and remove the apron when going to the restroom.

Pets are not allowed in the classroom.

Any act that infringes on the property rights, copyrights, privacy, or other rights of other customers or the school, or any act that violates local laws and regulations.

Acts that slander or defame other customers or third parties or acts that cause damage, such as defamation.

Activities related to politics and religion.

Activities that are offensive to public order and morals, criminal acts, or acts that may lead to a crime being committed.

Any other activities deemed inappropriate by the school.
